Stuck between a brush and a blade server...
If I've been doing anything right, you were linked here from a site I've designed,
a photo I've taken or a friend who gave you a hot tip on a good designer/photographer, and
you already know all about what I do. If not, here's a bit about me and my work:
With academic training in engineering, I take scientific approach to web design that focuses
on providing clean user interfaces driven by technical excellence on the backend. The best
sites are often not the flashiest (pun intended) ones, but those that are treated as tools for
for the user and designed to facilitate effective use as such.
That being said, a website is still a work of art and ineffective without elegance and flair.
I bring extensive artistic experience to every project, leveraging my large library of images
and photographic expertise to create something unique for every customer.
Every project is a challenge for for my creativity, and I love challenges.
Here are two of my favorite projects:
This site, which can bee seen at www.launchcasting.net, is only two pages.
Upon landing the job, I received the paragraph of text shown on the second page and the following instructions (at 11:30pm): "You have complete artistic license, but we need it by tomorrow at 10am."
There's something very exciting about that sort of freedom...
This site, viewable at www.collinpelton.com, was quite the opposite process from the above site.
Collin and I started with some simple thematic ideas and painstakingly created every element of the site to reinforce those ideas. All of the photography was done especially for
the site.
If you like what you see, cick the "@" in the navbar to contact me.
